How Payouts Work
Your subscription pays the rights holders you listen to, and nobody else.
Your royalty pool
Every listener has a subscription of $10.00 a month. The platform keeps a 10% fee, and the rest is that listener's royalty pool.
Who gets your pool
Your pool is shared between the rights holders of the songs you listened to that month, in proportion to how many seconds you listened to each. Every second of real playback counts.
When a song has more than one rights holder, its listened time is divided between them by the song's split sheet as it stands when the month closes.
Each share is rounded down to whole cents. Leftover cents, and the pool of anyone who didn't listen at all that month, go to the platform.
Monthly periods
Royalties are calculated per calendar month (UTC) and locked in shortly after the month ends. Until then, amounts shown are estimates.
